Hi guys
I hope that this okay for the admin, and if not please delete it 
but I thought to open an Unconventional shipper thread.
Do you love Spander? Spangel? Spillow? Willow/Angel? then this is the thread for you. 
I am an uncoventional shipper to the heart. My ships are both AU and my heart belong to Willow/Angel and Willow/Spike.
In begin I hoped with all my heart that Xander would finally see his best friend like something different that just a pal, but when it was clearly that he had only eyes for demons and slayers I gave up and I started realising that Willow would make so much more sense with the two vampires above 
Willow/Angel and Willow/Spike have very much in common if you give it a thought.
WIllow/Angel both like read, Willow innocence in the first seasons should have attracted Angelus to her like he was with Drusilla, the matter that they both like literature, magic, they know what it means lonileness.
I had this weird thought the other day as I realized that both Willow and Angel have dated a slayer and a werewolf. Willow's dated a witch but not a vampire and Angel's dated a vampire but not a witch. So if Willow and Angel got together they'd both have dated a slayer, a werewolf, a witch and a vampire.
Willow started out with a werewolf and ended up with a slayer and Angel started out with a slayer and ended up with a werewolf.
Both Willow and Angel have said "I'm a dog person." And then proceeded to leave the ww.
Both have gone evil, killed, used dangerous magic, gone crazy/evil when they lost someone they loved, tried to end the world, are socially awkward, have beat up, tortured, tried to kill the Scoobies while evil, told Buffy that they liked her dress in "Prophecy Girl".
Both Willow and Angel have been compared to Darth Vader while in their evil mode.
They've both been bullied into relationships and had meaningless sex before a big battle where they could die.
Both have used a mind wipe twice and used black magic when a loved one is hurt/taken from them.
Both have groveled when they felt they did something wrong.
Willow and Angel make sense for a great many reasons. Willow has always easily accepted the fact that he's a vampire, more so than Buffy has (witness the way Buffy carelessly opened the drapes one morning and nearly incinerated him, illustrating the fact that she, at core, tries to ignore what he is) and has certainly, as illustrated by her romance with Oz, demonstrated a willingness to love a demon and accept the restrictions and conditions that kind of love affair entails.
Plus. Willow is unselfish and fights evil by choice, rather than just because she's been forced into it. That has to be something Angel would admire. Add in her intelligence, her innocence, her capacity to love, AND the fact that she gave him back his soul at the risk of her own life, and you can see why Angel should love her.
As for why Willow should love Angel, there's his capacity to love, his quiet demeanor (she seems to like that in Oz, after all), his intelligence, and let's not forget the danger aspect (which she seems to have a bit of a taste for). All in all, I'd say they make a perfect couple!
There isn't a lot in canon but Angel does carry her out of the boiler room in "Invisible Girl".
He goes to her bedroom for help with Ford. How did he know where she lived let alone where her bedroom was? Willow says "Ours is a forbidden love" when Xander questions her about Angel being in her bedroom. Willow is the first Scoobie Angelus goes after.
He holds her body against his and says she's cute and a turn on.
She insists on performing the soul restoration spell twice. The second time from her hospital room having just woken up from a coma.
He saves her from Mrs. Post by knocking her to the ground and staying on top of her. He stays with her on the floor instead of helping Buffy fight Mrs. Post.
He "mistakes" her for Buffy when she's caring for him in "Grad Day 2". "I can't leave you. I was wrong. I need you." He lets her but not Buffy see him in "Pangs".
With the threat of the First hanging over them Willow drops everything, leaving her girlfriend, and goes to L.A. to re ensoul Angel. She tells him that they're even and he doesn't owe her anything when he tries to thank her. She gives him a hug before she leaves.
LOng post I know but I love them and I even started about Willow/Spike
For me they would be perfect together because, Willow and William were alike.
Them both were literal, shy, and faithful to the ones that they loved. Both suffered in love, having feelings for someone that ignored them.
Willow and Spike could work because the soulless vampire could see in her what once he was and because of it, or he could become obsessed with her to break her, or he could to be attracted by her character.
I think that Willow and the souled Spike could work because this new vampire, was so alike the human being and plus that shared the love for Buffy and many death-life experiences.
And many reasons why Angel and Willow make sense for me, are worth for Willow and SPike too.
We have many canon scene in Btvs
The Iniative is the biggest one among them. Spike offering to turn Willow it is tis apex.
Then there is "Doomed" where Willow saves Spike's unlife.
In the same season he helps to show that Tara isn't a demon.
In sixth season he doesn't try anything against her when Willow hurts Dawn, and we all know that he cares for the key.
Then when Anya want Willow do a spell after she gave up magic, he try to defend her, but Tara cut him off, etc.
So now you know almost everything abut my reasons to love them together what are yours?

*sigh* I admit it! I'm an AU, too. And, yes, it's a long-term obsession in my case and YES, I am a geek. Happy? I said it. Lol.
My 'ship of preference is Spike/Faith.
