So as many of you guys might notice, things have gotten pretty quiet here the past month, which is sad because I really wanna get this place going and bouncing and make it as userfriendly and homey as possible. So What kind of changes do you guys think should be done? Should categories be added, will you discuss them or is this just a 'want'? Should we make the Buffy/Angel sections smaller?

We've tried starting up fanart challenges to get you guys engaged but this seemed to not work, there are plans for fanfic challenges, but perhaps that's not of interest either.

Please tell me and my crew what you want to happen here and things will definitly change!

My not being on is more a lack of time than anything. But I would possibly make the Buffy and Angel sections smaller so the home page doesn't look so big and empty, since there aren't many threads in those sections and the seasons could probably go together until there is more activity on the forum But thats up to you

Well, I've got a few billion sites, if you have a 468x60 banner I'd be happy to put the site into my banner rotation?

Your suggestion was actually very good Beck, so all seasonal discussions goes into the sections of the shows and there is no longer any season specific categories at this time.

Thanx Faith, I'll send one over asap!

I've been moderator and administrator at a few other forums and whenever things got quite, we usually hosted fanart and fanfic challenges. However, just hosting one doesn't guarantee that people will take part in them. In such cases, what we did was, we chose a few members who we know were respected in the fanart and fanfic communities and encouraged them to take part. Seeing this, other members would take part and before you would know it, the forum would be busy again.

The section on TV shows can also be a great attraction. The Jossverse is something common between all of us. We just need to come up with new and interesting things to discuss (although I realize that there may be a shortage of that since every episode has been discussed to death over a million times... not that it's not fun anymore, though). For this, I would suggest that we should try to bring up interesting topics on the current and popular shows like Grey's Anatomy and Heroes. I know Veronica Mars is not as popular anymore but from what I've seen, the fans on this forum are pretty loyal and wouldn't mind exploring the show all over again.

Ship-wars are always fun. We should definitely start some up, but friendly ones, of course. No name-calling.

As for the chat section, well, that's generally everyone's favourite section. It's obvious that not everyone is in the same timezone but in my opinion, the problem here is that people have simply stopped coming in. I just posted in the chat thread and the last post was made in February. So, I would suggest that people should generally start coming here a little more so that it can get busier than it is, at the moment.

I keep my forum going by making sure me and my moderators are extremely active. We start new threads when it gets slow, bump any old threads that can still have life. The members will only remain active if the staff are, especially in a forum starting out

I like your points and ideas Ameer. I actually put the tv shows section ideas into action right away so now you can find Grey's Anatomy, Supernatural and Veronica Mars in their own sections as they were the shows most discussed in the general show section. This has been a thought before but then I kinda forgot about it so it was great you reminded me

I hadn't actually thought of that idea about contacting the artists for challenges. I keep forgetting that a little push in the right direction is sometimes needed to get things working.

Beck - I know, it's important to try to stay as active as possible in the beginning, otherwise people doesn't come back. I just suck at it from time to time

I would love to see this forum become one of those where ship- wars are possible without people lasching out at each other but I don't know how possible this is. Believe me I luuve schip - wars it's just people tend to forget that we are discussing fiction

Fanart challanges are deffinatly a good thing, and it would be nice if we could have fanartbattels (or something similar)

As for the tv- shows I think It would be intressting to wath episodes toghether like for instants pik the Buffy episode of the week wath it and discuss it. that way the episode is still frech in the mind when you start a discussion.

Debates are also fun

Sorry if the suggestions are unclear ( lack of time) or stupid I just really want to get this forum on a go
