Have you read the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon? If not, then please do, I wanna discuss

This is an amazing series of books. I haven't eaten myself through books like I do when I read these. For those of you who don't know what this is about I can give you a hint - it begins with a woman called Claire who is with her husband in Scottland on vacation. This is in the 1940's, right after the war I think. One day she's out walking and she sees these big stones (remember the stones you read about in school that people have always speculated what they were about. Just standing there in a circle.) and when she walks in between two of them she is suddenly thrown into the 18th century.

This series of books is amazing, you get to read about her whole life in this time and how she meets Jamie, the love of her life and the man she can't live without in the end. The books takes us through revolutions and wars and they're really captivating and interesting and when reading them you won't be able to put them down. I'm reading the latest one called "A breath of snow and ashes" and I can't put it down. I end up reading like 100 pages everytime (it's at 1200+ pages total ).

more info about the books here

I most definitly recommend this series!

Never read 'em

Sounds good. You mean those big rock things made millions of years ago or something?

Interesting, sounds Fantasy-ish.

I mean these kind of stones

It's not so much fantasy-ish because of the fact that the only thing that is unordinary is the stepping through stones into another time than your own. The rest is like a "regular" book but about a woman who's traveled back in time to 1743 and must now try and survive there.

You should really try and pick up at least the first book and give it a chance. It will capture you and you'll be hungry for every page that you turn!

I've never read or heard about this book but I will give it a try if I come across it when I'm in the library. It really sounds interesting.

You really should. It sucks you in and then you can't leave I love reading these books and I'm planning on re-reading them in a year or so. Gotta plan it because the books (all of them) is pretty thick. This last one is over 1200 pages, and the other ones is around that number as well

hehe, I didn't use to do that either but these are definitly worth it!!

I wasn't much of a reader before I stumbled upon these books. I read some regular books but mainly I kept to the buffy novels.
But now I love reading regular books. I guess I have Diana Gabaldon to thank for that
