Hi to everyone. Just I noticed that there were section for all the past season I thought to open a new thread to chat about the next comic 8 season.
There are many spoilers going around and I don't want spoiler you but I would discuss with you all.
What do you think about the coming books? What do you think about JW changes concerning Buffy? What about her t-shirt?
I'm not sure about the whole 3 different buffys and the whole ma'am thing, but I do like that they changed the immortal and buffy thing and made her into a decoy.

I have seen the cover pics for the first two eps (can they be called eps?) and they look fabulous though

Okay first of all in the first book we'll find out that there are three Buffy going around the world. One of them dirtying... I meant clubbing in my city with someone called The Immortal.
Buffy is now the oldest (with Faith) slayer around there and every potential call her "ma'am".
She appears more tonic and use elicopters to move around the world. Many people complained about this, but I think that even in the serial there was one time when an elicopter made an appearance, when Riley leaved Sunnydale if I am not mistake.
What upset me a bit is the matter that JW changed (once again) the plot because now having a Buffy clubbing around doesn't fit him. But while he explained his reasons in a Whedonesque post, (I am Buffyverse god, I can do it), I don't get how Spike and Angel could be fooled from a double. Didn't they should know her smell? Vampires don't recognize Slayer from vibrations or such?
On a nice note Buffy wear a Firefly t-shirt :-)
and the last spoiler on the second book are

about buffy clubbing around. Remember the Angel episode 'the girl in question'? this is the episode and thing Carla means. We see 'Buffy' out clubbing with the Immortal. This is appearntly just a dubble who's out clubbing in Rome, to throw people/demons off.

Okay I already point out that I don't think Angel and SPike could had been fooled from a fake Buffy in Rome, so I won't repeat that point again, but now I am wondering with who Dawn lost her virginity? Is Xander going to visit ANgel Country now that he is so near it? Anya will return or not?
*squeeeee. I am pleased that MTV did an article on Buffy. Way to go guys. And whoa. the spoilers made me even more giddy for next months. My friends don't watch the shows and they are sick of me going on about the upcoming comic series.
I loved the first episode (?). There seems to still be a lot of supposedly resolved issues from the series though, like Dawn/Buffy, The original three and just general Buffy broodiness. s7 kinda brought back some light heartedness but the comics kinda look like they're going back to a dark place. I did find GiantDawn! hilarious and I loved the idea of Dawn having sex and not talking to Buffy about it and Buffy freaking out, also Dawn going to Burkley is so cool.
Amy as the BB... Not sure, maybe need more of that. I'd like a Riley cameo considering the military appear to be having a bit of an appearence in s8. oes anyone know who might be guest staring in s8?
Where. Is. Faith? Stay tuned I guess. I'm hanging out for my Faith, I never really felt her character had much closure in the show. _________________
I totally fell down my chair when I saw the Faith cover last week. Too cool for words! I cannot wait to see what is in store for her. Don't you just love the way she has a spray-paint can in her hand, and how she's sprayed her name over Buffy's? Yup, Faith is definitely back.
I hadn't seen the one for Issue #4. Thanks for that, Irene. Is it just me or has Issue #5 just disappeared into thin air? That's the only one that we don't have a cover of, and the only one that I can't seem to find any info on. Oh, well.
These month-long waits are going to be the death of me.
Oh, so there are going to be stand-alones as well? Now, that's great news. I had assumed that the entire season would be divided into seperate arcs.
Is it just me or is the Buffy/Dawn cover simply amazing? I hope we'll see them resolve whatever issue it is that has them fighting. I hate that we haven't got an explanation for that yet. Of course, it has only been 2 issues. I'm hoping that we'll get to know the reasons for the rift soon.
