Eek! No Topic for this yet? Blasphemy is what it is....complete blasphemy...
Anyway...Veronica Mars...what can I say?
I am completely and utterly obsessed with this show...like beyond most. I think it's the only show I have really written an in-depth essay like episode discussion about. Ever since I began watching at the beginning of Season 2, I have been addicted. The wit, the mysteries, the Logan... woops.. I mean the LoVe
Season 3's return is right around the corner and I have high hopes that they can make a turn around with what they did at the beginning of it. I mean after 3.09 they better have some good storylines a brewing
If I remember correctly the last episode ended with
Spoiler:
the principle dead as a doornail
So if that's the storyline for the next 8-9 episodes, I think it's definitly interesting beause I think the obvious is the guilty one here, as usual of course!
And I seriously hope Veronica pulls herself together about Logan, or that he goes bad boy again. I loved him as a bad boy but sensitive! Can't wait to see how it went for him from where we left him last
When is it the show starts up again? *forgotten* _________________

Yup, that's how it ended...
Spoiler:
Poor Weevil is so gonna get blamed for it, which sucks, but at least he'll get screen time ^^;
I'm cool with them turning the remaining episodes after the murder mystery into stand alones...I mean isn't Veronica Mars with solo mysteries than no Veronica? I mean I have enjoyed pretty much all the solo mysteries in the show. The reason we aren't getting seasonal arcs is because we don't have enough viewers (which is bull cause there are so many people who watch it), so signing petitions and such won't get them back, what we need to do is turn people onto the show (which really is not hard at all). But in all fairness most episodes are solo mysteries with just a tid bit of info about the seasonal mystery in them, excluding the final episode which just sums everything up.
I really like the way they have tried and mix up the formula this season, that way it doesn't repeat so much like Buffy did. If only the episodes could have been better
Hehe, almost went into uber rant mode... I have to be careful and stop myself most times, otherwise I don't think I would stop
Veronica Mars starts back up on Jan 23.
And yeah, I'm hoping Veronica does the same... _________________ The Art.The Fiction.
I personally can't wait for some drama between Logan and Veronica! I would love to see Logan turning back into his bad boy self (which I sadly doubt because he is still in love with Veronica and probably won't do anything that would put him in her bad graces) and then Veronica trying to get him back on track. She's definitely the type that doesn't realize what she had until it's gone and then does crazy stuff to get it back.
I know that I'll attire your rage toward me after you read my post but I can't help myslef
I didn't liked second season finale. Yup.
I think that it was rushed. Everything found an explanation in the very last episode when many open threads had been open until then.
Spoiler:
Veronica and Logan suddenly going over the party deblace, the discover and the reasons beyond Cassidy being the raper and murder.
The only thing I liked about second season finale was Keith's arc. That one was great for me
but don't let me start about what happened to Weevil in the same episode! Gosh I want still cry beacuse of it
Hmm, the second season finale...I can see why you wouldn't like it because it felt rushed, but with this episode I think it did better because of it being how fast paced it was.
It is I believe my favorite episode yet. Hell, I've written a mini essay about it (well at least the LoVe portion of it). The twist and turns of it, everything that I didn't like about season two was made up for in this episode. Though I think I would have like more Jackie/Wallace time, the realist in me knows that it would have just trudged the episode along.
And then Kyle Gallner's (Beaver) acting...wow. I mean he went from cute and cuddly Beaver to crazy maniacal bus crashing Beaver. I was just shocked and stunned. And then we see poor Mac by the bed crying, my God I swear my heart broke in two.
Anyway...
I am so excited for new episodes, I really have faith in the second half of the season. Though with Rob has said in some recent interviews, I really few for this guy. I will post it later with my views also when I get some time to track it down _________________ The Art.The Fiction.
I don't like the finale too much because I think there are big errors in it beside the feeling that it was rushed to create suspence.
Spoiler:
VM has in front of her one of the football's guy and she doesn't ask him if he know someone else in the pic or if there isn't someone that it should be there.
It was painful clear that the murder was Beaver and this took away the suspence for me.
The explanation of why he is the murder, it is rushed. There are many thing that don't find a reason. For example I would like to see a flashback where Beaver asked to call a limousine to Dick after they visit at the stadium.
Weevil and his men knew that Beaver was in the car the night when Curly Moran was killed. How can be possible that when Weevil was charged he didn't think at Beaver neither for a moment?
Another thing that make me wrinkle my headfront is about the recording used from the three guys.. who took away Beaver's voice? How Lucky arrived there?
I think that it was Beaver himself to send the email at Goddman taking away his voice from it, to blackmail Goodman though.
I don't like the fact that after Logan saved Veronica's life they were automatically back together... it itches me like there is something missing there.
There is another doubt that haunt me. Before the rape, Dick throw a condom on the bed... how comes tht Beaver infect Veronica with the Chlamydia?
Sure he could hadn't used it but.... kind stressed for me.
Jackie's history and the fact she is a mother hitches me like superficially thought, but then that it could be just me.

Woo! Time to talk errors!

Well, she's human, she didn't really think about someone who wasn't pictured, I mean I didn't, lol.

Really? I really didn't think of it. The only way it came across my mind was because someone mentioned it in a post...but well, I like to live in VM denial land, hehe.

See if they added in a flashback, of that at least, I think that it might have taken away from the overall suspense on the rooftop.

They didn't know that it was Beaver in the car, all they saw was a black car turn it's lights on and they ran right after that.

I think Beaver took away his own voice, they wanted him on it, but before he sent it he took out his own.

Yep, yep.

Well, they started the reunion about 5 eps before hand, they started rekindleing their friendship again. They are starcrossed lovers, they are in love but things just always get in their way. The big dramatic experience on the rooftop helped push Veronica back to Logan, she realized how much she really loved him.

Condom's aren't always 100% safe, actually only 85% safe, so there is a chance that the condom didn't work. Also could have been that he didn't use one...eww :s

Yeah, that one was kind of 'well yeah, what else could it be', but that is why at the same time that I wanted more, I was glad that they reduced the ammount of time with her.

I actually really agree with this statement for the follwing reasons:
Spoiler:
basically, when I watched it, and she looked at the team picture, and suddenly Beaver was the killer, I was like. Huh? How so? What evidence points to this? I thought I had missed something. And then, she conveniently explained everything to him. I dunno, I feel they didn't really drop hints as to Beaver's deep issues before then. He appeared to be just the little brother of a popular but jerky guy, parents who don't care, and just sorta shy. I never got the idea like, hmm, Beaver is sorta... odd. They only planted that seed a few eps before with the Mac and sex thing. It had a sort of "let's throw something togethe Angel season 4 feel" to me. Even if they would have made it a like 2 or 3 episode arc where she starts to realize things, like that Beaver raped her and such. Instead of just throwing the entire thing into one episode. I LOVE the idea that it was Beaver, but I just hated how they went about it.
on the other hand, I thought the performances of the cast have never been better. and I agree with Joe, Mac just broke my heart.

Ah, now this, I totally agree with it. When I saw it, I knew what it had meant, but I really didn't see how Veronica suddenly connected ALL of those dots at once.
They threw me for a loop with who the killer was and I liked that they chose him, but I do agree that it felt really BAM! and kinda crammed, but Kristen Bell's and pretty much the rest of the casts acting totally made up for it. _________________ The Art.The Fiction.
So finally episode 3x13 aired. Pretty good episode put my thoughts on the episode within spoilertags, don't wanna break my own rules
Spoiler:
I liked the whole thing with Logan and Heather. It was really good for him to spend some time with her, and it was so sweet when she got the radio to play Nick Lachey's song for her. (which btw, I must admit, I love that song!) and I just wanted to hit her over the head when she turned of the radio. I'm still having problems accepting how everything has gone by with LoVe. She's running around doing whatever she feels like and he's seriously depressed about everything. The fact that she didn't even listen to the entire message he left for her on her voicemail in the last episode just aggrivated me.
Ok, not gonna turn this into a major LoVe rant The episode was overall very interesting, I like the progress we're making in the dean's death, definitly something fishy there, and it will be interesting to find out who actually killed the coach - got some ideas? thoughts? I'm not sure what I think, I don't really think it's the son but then again.. who knows in Neptune? And Veronica getting arrested...again. *sigh*
The letter the Dean had written on Veronica's behalf was beautiful and it's so sad to think that when he wrote that he'd love to discuss her more he can't do that anymore. The guy was funny and great, and it really didn't feel out of character for him to have written this letter. I'm actually rooting for Veronica to go to the FBI, personally I'd find that seriously cool/fun!
So.. did you see that killer coming? Me.. I was so tired I couldn't think so I didn't figure it out actually until he had his class, but I figured it much much sooner than Veronica because I remembered the classic 'the killer thinks he's gotten away so now he can talk about it but forgets that he's not supposed to know every detail' ting, so I caught him pretty early there. For once I was quicker than Veronica *grin*
I liked how it all played out, only thing that is sad about this whole thing is V's teacher, since he was pushing for her to get to the FBI and other things and now he's in no position to do so.. which isn't very good from V's stand point. But ignoring that, I liked the episode.
I couldn't help thinking of Buffy's remark to Angel when Tim sneaked into Veronica's office and started poking around and then when she saw him he took one big dive - "stealthy"
I just finished watching the first season of VM (yes, I know I'm slow ) and I really love this show!
I like the whole Nancy Drew vibe going on. I use to be fans of the book (Nancy Drew that is) so it's no surprise that I really like this show. The characters are great and intriguing which is always a plue.
I'm not going to wait for my local channel to air season 2 cause goodness knows how long it would take for them to do so. Plus, I don't think I can wait to find out what happens to Veronica and Logan (yes! I'm a fan! ) So I've gotten *ahem* ways to get my hands on the first ep of season 2. It would take a long time for me to go through to the whole season but I'm patient...I think. I can't wait to start watching season 2.
I heard that season 3 is bad. Is that true? It's such a shame. Usually a show peaks from the third season onwards so it's surprising to hear that season 3 is very bad. I also heard that the show is getting cancelled but then there are news saying that VM will come back for its fourth season with Veronica in FBI. So which news is true?
Is it just me or has this show become so unbelievably immature? I've been feeling this vibe for a while and the last two episodes has really gotten me viewing this show as immature and boring. I yawn my way through episodes, and if I don't yawn, I feel like smacking one of the characters over the head for being so adolecent (and the queen of them is veronica). I know I've been watching alot of Grey's Anatomy and at first I thought that was the reason for my thoughts about Veronica but looking back, Gilmore Girls didn't feel this immature, and neither did Buffy. And they still don't when I re-watch the years that they are the same age as Veronica.
Veronica feels like she's still in pre-high school and she acts like a child instead of grabbing a pare and actually being her age.
Sorry if this is bashy but I'm so tired of all this immature crap that Rob is throwing at us. *sigh* I'd rather see this show come to an end instead of GG..
