We have the books and we have the movies. Have you read the books or are you like me, just watched the movies?

While on another forum I've been really aware of the new HP book coming out and people have discussed it everyday. I don't mind that as long as noone spoils it for me, a person who isn't planning on reading the books before the movies.

I hadn't heard much about HP before the first movie came out so I was very curious what it was and since then I've aimed to be at the premier of everyone of them. But I haven't gotten around to buying the books. Now that movie number 5 have been in the theaters and the final book - 7 - has been published I really don't see the point in spoiling the movies for myself after watching the other ones without reading the books.

The last movie will premier in 2010, three years from now. Will you be able to stay away from the books until then or will you crack?

When reading the books (if you have done so or will do so), did you read it in your own language (assuming it's not english) or read it in the original language? Personally, when I will be reading the books after 2010 I will aim for the english, original language, instead of going out and buying them in swedish. That way I can really hear the characters the way I've gotten used to them on screen - DanRad as Harry, Rupert as Ron and Emma as Hermoine. I couldn't imagine reading it in another language. That's what I tried with Lotr and it didn't go too well since I knew the different names of things in english, everything seemed just weird in swedish and I actually lost track of things since I didn't remember the swedish term.

Well, after this long rant I hope I got the questions out!
