As Irene (shred) asked me what season I was in right now I thought 'hey, why not start up a OTH thread and have a really discussion with loads of people?'

So to answer you question Irene, I'm on season 6, the one airing in the US, and I can't wait for it to FINALLY come back, after it's irritatingly long break, this week.

I told my mom about this show and tried to explain stuff when I watched it for the first time. When telling her I realised that I have never watched another show that puts its character through more pain, happiness, drama, horrible events and crazy things during such a short period of time.

I'm actually confused and I can't seem to find an answer to it.. how old are the gang? Are we in the last year of high school, so every 2 seasons we are in a new year of their life so to speak?

Season 4 you mean.

The timeline is a bit different for OTH. If I'm not wrong, they are now at the last few months of their senior year. I think each season = half a year.

I, too, can't wait for the new eps. May 2nd is such a loooong wait!! Grr...

I'm not really enjoying season 4 to be honest. There are some good eps but there are a lot more boring ones though. But I'm glad Psycho!Derek came back. I thought his character really spiced things up earlier in the season. He came back at the right time. May 2nd can't come any slowe! Argh!

So far my favourite season has to be season 3.

psycho!Derek - I wasn't expecting that actually. Silly me, of course he would be showing up again, and at the worst moment possible! He's what Xander says in Btvs season 4's Beer Bad "A bad bad man"

Have you seen the trailer for the next ep? Available out on youtube, damn - that episode looks reeeeaally good.

And I liked that Brooke asked Mouth to the prom, it was so sweet and made me remember the things she said on the video she made back in season 2(?) that she'd probably end up with a guy like Marvin McPhadden - MOUTH!

But I was hoping he and the other girl was gonna make it. They were so sweet and I really felt sorry for her, she'd painted herself into a corner and now she's stuck and can't go anywhere without it being the 'wrong' way according to the other clean teens.

Ok, about the seasons and timeline - thanx for clearing that up, I've been so confused about this since they're still in high school and we're at the fourth season and the show started out in high school as well..

So when is OTH returning anyway? The promo said in two weeks time while tv.com says it returns may 2nd.

Naah, that promo was posted some time ago hense the confusion of dates. YouTube is afterall not the official sponsor of OTH

Yeah, that promo is very evil. I found a clip somewhere of a few minutes from the episode. Let me see if I can find it again. It's basically the first 2 or 4 minutes of the episode EEEP!

but I thought the show was coming back THIS week, not in may. Now I'm confused

New episode of OTH starts next Wednesday! I can't wait! Yay!

I've been rewatching the last couple of eps and I absolutely cannot wait to see what happens. And that promo is not making the wait any easier.

MS said that if there will be a season 5, it would be set 5 years in the future. Now that would be interesting to see.

that sounds really cool, I just hope they catch Keith's killer first. Don't want that hanging over us another season, and it does look like it's finally getting somewhere!

I'm still really happy about the renewal, considering they had to be saved last year!

I think everyone will know who Keith's killer is at the end of the season. It's more or less confirmed that season 5 will be set 4 years into the future so I doubt no one will know who killed Keith even after 4 years.

And looking at how things going, it definitely looks like the killer will be reveal at the end of this season.

ok, I just realised that I've missed the last episode of the season. EEEP! I thought the flatline was the end of season 4 and while trying to remember the episode I just realised that I've missed the episode that aired june 13.

So, those of you who HAVE seen the season finale of season 4, what did you think?

The finale was great. I enjoyed it a lot. Season 4 is probably the worst season for me but I'm glad the finale didn't pull the season down the drain even more.

The ep answered and tied up all loose ends nicely and I was very satisfied with the outcome. I can't wait for season 5 to start, esp since it would be set 4 years into the future.

I finally got the chance to see the episode last night and I agree Irene, it tied up nicely with everything. I loved the moments when they just had a song play and you got to see what was going on. Especially in the end, felt like a complete tribute to themselves, which I loved!

I loved how it went for the killer, no way he's getting off that easy!

I am definitly also looking forward to the next season, who will be together? Who will be where? Did anyone die? (*grin* they've been through so many neardeath things that I don't find this too far fetched

)

It's starting up in january, right? I thought I read something about it at tv.com, although it wasn't a confirmed date.

I heard it's starting in Jan, which is weird as most (if not all) the shows are starting their new season in Sept. But OTH did finish later so maybe that's why it's starting later.

Hopefully, confirmation on the air date will be out when the other shows start.

I don't find it too weird. Even if they're on the devil network and a different one from OTH - 24 always starts its new season in january, and if memory serves me right, a few others do too.. although my memory is failing as to which those shows are

I can't wait for the trailers and promos to start coming, I got a chance to get a dose of new episodes from OTH this week thanks to my lack of seeing that there was another episode last month

but that kinda triggered my need for more and more and more!

What are you expecting from the next season?

Honestly, I have no idea what I would like to see in next season. As they move 4 years into the future, it opens up so many doors. It's like watching a new show. It's hard to expect things when you're watching a new show.

yeah I guess. I just hope they've done some re-arranging in the characters and the dynamic. I mean, in four years, people change. Considering Nathan and Hailey, I expect a lot of change in them. Maybe Brooke has finally grown up and become the woman they talked so much about etc.. wonder if Peyton hit it big

I see Brook hitting it big, rather than Peyton. Brook has her fashion line so I assume she would have success with it in the future. Or maybe not. Maybe we see her failing with her fashion line.

The biggest question (for me anyways) would be whether or not Lucas and Peyton are together. I'm a Leyton shipper!

I really wonder how Nathan will be. He is now a father (with a 4 year old son no less) so it would be interesting to see how Nathan has grown and what kind of father he'll be. Would he subconsciously become like Dan?

I don't think Nathan will become Dan. Unlike Dan, he's still friends with his older brother and has a loving relationship with his wife AND don't forget Whitey is still around too! If Nathan has turned into Dan I will be very disappointed with the writers..

I'm a Leyton shipper too!!!

I'm rooting for the two of them, but I wouldn't be suprised if they weren't together anymore.. They seemed to be on different paths and even if they loved one another, I don't think it could hold them together through the next four years. But then again, who knows?!

(I'm hoping for it!!!)

I'm also kinda curious about Mouth. Where will he be? Always liked him

I never really cared about Mouth. I was kinda tired and bored of him in season 4 - esp his storyline with Rachel (who I hate!) and Shelly. I thought his storylines were kinda pointless. Like the stories were there just to make him feel like part of the show. I wouldn't miss him if he was gone.

I actually can see Leyton lasting for awhile. I have a feeling they'll break up after they reunite and not during the 4 years we never see. We probably see a strain in the relationship during the 4th season and it's then when they realise that they are on different paths.
