Season 8 comic [spoilerwarning!]Hi to everyone. Just I noticed that there were section for all the past season I thought to open a new thread to chat about the next comic 8 season.There are many spoilers going around and I don't want spoiler you but I would discuss with you all. What do you think about the coming books? What do you think about JW changes concerning Buffy? What about her t-shirt?

I love the cover for mag #2 (or ep 2  )
I'm not sure about the whole 3 different buffys and the whole ma'am thing, but I do like that they changed the immortal and buffy thing and made her into a decoy. |

about buffy clubbing around. Remember the Angel episode 'the girl in question'? this is the episode and thing Carla means. We see 'Buffy' out clubbing with the Immortal. This is appearntly just a dubble who's out clubbing in Rome, to throw people/demons off.
I guess the girl has doublegangers.. or something to that effect

*squeeeee. I am pleased that MTV did an article on Buffy. Way to go guys. And whoa. the spoilers made me even more giddy for next months. My friends don't watch the shows and they are sick of me going on about the upcoming comic series. | |||

I loved the first episode (?). There seems to still be a lot of supposedly resolved issues from the series though, like Dawn/Buffy, The original three and just general Buffy broodiness. s7 kinda brought back some light heartedness but the comics kinda look like they're going back to a dark place. I did find GiantDawn! hilarious and I loved the idea of Dawn having sex and not talking to Buffy about it and Buffy freaking out, also Dawn going to Burkley is so cool.
Amy as the BB... Not sure, maybe need more of that. I'd like a Riley cameo considering the military appear to be having a bit of an appearence in s8. oes anyone know who might be guest staring in s8? Where. Is. Faith? Stay tuned I guess. I'm hanging out for my Faith, I never really felt her character had much closure in the show. |

I read somewhere in the Dark house site that Faith will be bring on during the third episode and the fourth one. I read the first comic and I have to agree with you about that the light tone is back and that I loved the matter that Dawn
The ones that have read it too hadn't find enjoyable the matter that Buffy talking about her homeless told that she missed
Guys That it must be a big pain for the Spuffy around the world. Since I always was one of the few telling that their relationship...
Now I should receive the second comic at days. Stay tune I'll post spoilers immediately after I read it! |

I totally fell down my chair when I saw the Faith cover last week. Too cool for words! I cannot wait to see what is in store for her. Don't you just love the way she has a spray-paint can in her hand, and how she's sprayed her name over Buffy's? Yup, Faith is definitely back.
I hadn't seen the one for Issue #4. Thanks for that, Irene. Is it just me or has Issue #5 just disappeared into thin air? That's the only one that we don't have a cover of, and the only one that I can't seem to find any info on. Oh, well. These month-long waits are going to be the death of me. |

Issue 5 is a standalone story that Joss is writing.
From what I read, the cover should be out soon, before the end of May. Will post it as soon as I get my hands on it.

Oh, so there are going to be stand-alones as well? Now, that's great news. I had assumed that the entire season would be divided into seperate arcs.
Is it just me or is the Buffy/Dawn cover simply amazing? I hope we'll see them resolve whatever issue it is that has them fighting. I hate that we haven't got an explanation for that yet. Of course, it has only been 2 issues. I'm hoping that we'll get to know the reasons for the rift soon. |

Judging from the cover, I assume they are going to address the Giant!Dawn issue in the issue. They better or I'll be pretty mad!

I'm surprised Joss hasn't assigned Jane Espenson to write a few of her own arcs. Maybe we'll get some of those after Issue #20. Can you even imagine how long it's going to be before this season ends?
The Tokyo arc sounds interesting. I wonder what they're going to do there. I love the fact that the series is being continued in comic book form but I do hope that Joss isn't going to take advantage of that and move away from what we've seen on the show. I liked how all the magiks and the supernatural world was in a way, understated. Kinda like in Heroes, where you know they all have magnificent powers but it's never in your face. I'm sure many of you are going to disagree with me on this but I feel very strongly about this, and I hope that won't happen. I really want the comic series to stick to the premise on which the show was created, as much as possible. |

I love this new cover very much too but I can't choose among any of them. All the covers until now are stunning and I wish that the characters were portrayed in the same way in the comic too. Xander, Willow, Faith, Buffy and Dawn all look fantastic on the cover while they lose a bit of their beauty once you look at the comic itself for me. | |||

I'm really interested to know why Faith is dressed that way. And yay for Giles. Glad to see him on the cover. Hopefully, there's more of him in this issue.
