Spike In Angel

I would like to know what you guys thought of Spike being in Angel's season 5. A right move or not?

Personally, I feel that it was a stupid move to have Spike in Angel. I thought Spike ran his course in Buffy and he finished his story in season 7. He should have stayed dead in my opinion (and I'm not saying this because I'm not a fan of Spike

).

So does anybody agree with me or am I the only one?

I'm torn. The character is interesting and I liked the idea of bringing him back after death to give him a new chance at life but at the same time it felt like they just brought him in for the comic relief and to fill a gap after Cordy (which failed miserably!). What also bothered me with his return to life and on angel was that suddenly all the growing of character he'd done over the past season on Buffy, was completely ignored and erased and suddenly we were back to the annoying guy from seasons 2 and forward of buffy (now, don't take the annoying thing as a bad thing per say but his character liked to annoy people to large degrees).

All in all, sure he was a fun thing added to angel but I would have prefered it if they hadn't decided of killing off Cordy and instead let her back. Spike could still have made an appearance only he would ACTUALLY have left after being corporial as he wanted to..

No, just kidding. While I don't like him, he would've been good if 1. They didn't finish his story in S7, and 2. He wasn't done wrong and completely OOC, imo. I thought he was insanely annoying and served no purpose at all in Angel Season 5. A complete waste of time to have him. His sillyness bugged the crap out of me! It's like Season 2 (from Buffy) Spike came back, but he already attempted to rape Buffy, slept with her, broke up with her, got a soul, went crazy, and DIED! They forgot all of this except for the insane jealous thing about Spike and Angel over Buffy. Angel became annoying around him and he ruined each character and himself, even if there wasn't much more to destroy in his character. lol. The only character he didn't destroy when he was around them was Fred. She stayed our nice, lovable Fred. Other than that, STAY DEAD, SPIKE!
