So with the release of the Issue 11 cover, we can start to speculate who the big bad of season 8 is.

Now, Joss has said in a previous interview that the Big Bad will be a returning character... so could this person be it?

I really don't think so, I mean who does that look like? Adam at best, and I don't think Joss could pull that off well enough... though we have seen a lot in terms of military things so it might just be.

I'm thinking that that guy-thing on the cover is but a pawn to the actual big bad. Perhaps Amy. I mean we haven't gotten closure on her and it very well could be a minion of Amy.

So, what do you guys think?

I've only read Issues 1-5. I have no idea what has happened since then. Was the Warren issue ever resolved? He was there in the beginning. Was he killed after that, or did we get to see him at all, again? This cover reminded me of him and I was wondering whether the Big Bad could be.
