I knew they would kill Denny off - though my heart was praying that it wouldn't be so. But I was surprise he died after the surgery. I thought he would die when Izzie cut the LVAD wire or during the surgery itself. Never expected him to die after.
When he came out alive from the surgery and all ready to take Izzie to the prom, my heart was doing a little victory dance. So sad it didn't last.
I'm glad they had Denny die after the surgery and not after Izzie cut the LVAD. It's even sadder that way, although I was not a big fan of his death. For some reason, I was never a big Izzie/Denny shipper. My biggest problem with it was that Izzie hardly knew Denny outside the hospital and I guess, I would have gotten around to liking them together if we had gotten the chance to see them together as a couple outside the hospital.
I still say, however, that Denny's death is by far the saddest thing that ever happened on the show. I am getting a little scared about what Shonda has up her sleeve for the Season 3 finale...
The ending will feature Burktina's wedding. She's not getting her small City Hall wedding like she wanted.
I have this strong feeling that Christina will not go through with the wedding. She doesn't seem like the marrying kind so I won't be surprise if she has cold feet and backs out of the wedding. Another reason would be Burke stopping the wedding when he realise that Christina isn't ready for marriage yet.
Heh heh, I totally wanted to throw you off about Denny's death with my last post, Dana. Happy ending for Izzie and Denny? Ha! Far from that. Turns out, Shonda Rhimes is as saddistic as Joss (if not more).

I have never hated McDreamy as much as when he's all annoyed at Meredith for dating McVet. I am so, SO glad that Meredith hit right back at him. He totally deserved it! I wish Addy would push him off a ferryboat every once in a while and make it look like an accident. That sleazy McBastard! (Heh heh, George got the best line of this season. Wouldn't you agree, Irene? )

Finally the bubble burst and Burke's shit is out in the open. I was just waiting for it to go to hell and then it did. And even if it wasn't right everything they did.. Cristina really learned alot of surgurey stuff.. so something good came out it.. she helped save George's dad on the table.
I can't say I find them boring.. just VERY irritating.
and I'm so glad that Izzie backed away when Alex kissed her. I would have been furious if she had responded to that.. I mean the girl is completly devastated and suddenly she's with Alex.. now THAT would have been horrible writing and made me so angry.. so I'm glad that she said no.. but god, I love the scene when she's touching the patients chest and then compares it with Alex and McSteamy comes in _________________

I hate Alex (still do even though he tones down a lot this season) so I'm really, really glad that these two didn't get together. Izzie definitely deserves someone better than Alex.
For sure! Alex is an ass. I was watching a S2 eppy with Denny in it and ugh, I could've shot Alex myself. He was such a moron when it came to Izzie and Denny. I especially hated him when he vented his anger at George. He's such an insecure creep. I end up laughing at him half of the time for being such an incredible loser, lol.
Burke and Christina do give me the 'zzz's at times but they are still one of the best couples on the show. Isaiah and Sandra have such great on-screen chemistry.
ETA: Ooh, the Addy-centric two-parter is tonight! I cannot wait to see how it goes. Personally, I would prefer Addy to stay back on the show but I hope that the show will work, for Kate Walsh's sake at least.
Wow! Meredith can't get a break, can she? This episode wasn't really my favourite but I really enjoyed Meredith's story a lot. I really wonder how she'll do for the exam when spoilers are saying that one of the interns won't do well in it. I doubt it's Meredith but with everything that she's going through, I wouldn't be surprise if she gets another bad luck.
Derek and that bar tramp! Grrr. I was really close in slapping him when he starting talking to that girl. I'm really glad he said no to her but I'm sure this is just the beginning. That actress has signed on to appear for a few episodes in season 4 and there are rumors saying that she's Meredith's step-sister who will be interning in SGH. Meredith would probably the most unluckiest person on the planet if that happens. Just imagine having your McDreamy fliriting with your Mcstep-sister.
When I was watching this episode, I realised that the whole rift between Meredith and McDreamy would be settled if McDreamy stopped being Derek for Meredith and start being like Alex. Alex just sat with her and didn't give her a lecture like everyone else after her father yelled at her. Derek should know by now that Meredith is the sort of person who retreats when the going gets tough. She doesn't talk about her feelings like he wants her to. So I feel that instead of pestering her to communicate, Derek should just sit with her and not say anything. It's an Alex that she needs right now and not a Derek.
Last episode next week. Can't wait for it. I have a strong feeling the wedding won't happen. Either Burke or Christina will walk out. And Gizzie will officially happen. I just hope Callie doesn't leave because of that. I want her to remain at SGH to remind those two what cheaters they are!
I'm not surprise that T.R Knight is returning. I never doubted that he would leave. I heard, however, that Sara Ramirez hasn't signed on for season 4 yet so she may not return next season.
That means Gizzie will happen.
Also, Private Practice has been picked up by the network.
Well.. I've broken in my new VISA today. I ordered season 1 of GA. First I had thought of getting the region 2 one because I ran into it in the store, but I noticed that it had very little extras to offer, and then I get online and find the region 1 version and there's more goodies and it turns out.. was much cheaper
Can't wait to get my hands on it. This show has really sucked me in (and I was doubting it's quality just weeks ago ) and it doesn't seem to wanna let me go. I think this show might actually be able to fill the empty void in me after GG is gone..
I would miss Burke if he does leave. But I hope the writers gives us some closure on the Burktina relationship before he leaves if this is indeed true.

The speculation is over: After a controversial season, Isaiah Washington will not be returning to Grey’s Anatomy, his rep and ABC Television Studio have confirmed.
Howard Bragman, Washington’s publicist, says Washington’s option was not renewed, and released this statement from the actor: “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it any more.”
The quote is a reference to the 1976 film Network, but we doubt the actor was joking around. We also can’t imagine what he means, however.
The cast was notified Thursday night of the final decision, which, says a source close to the situation, was a long time coming. In the end, the source says, Washington’s behavior made him a liability.
As Grey’s Anatomy followers know, rumors ran rampant following the season finale – during which Washington’s character, Dr. Preston Burke, broke up with his fiancée, Christina Yang (Sandra Oh), and moved out of their apartment – that Washington would not be returning.
The actor first came under fire last fall after getting into an altercation with Patrick Dempsey, during which he allegedly referred to castmate T.R. Knight with a homophobic slur.
Washington later apologized, checked into rehab, met with gay leaders and recently released a PSA decrying the use of hate speech.
I'm surprised. I thought this blew over and everything was ok again. I guess things are not back to normal behind the scenes. It sucks cause I will definitely miss Burke. I hope it doesn't ruin the show though as I always believed that it's the big cast that made Grey's what it is today and without one of them, it just wouldn't be the same.
I read about this a few days ago. I'm actually not that suprised. Even if they show us that everything is ok and all, they've been dragging out the decision and there's been alot of rumours of him leaving, and in sweden there's a saying "no smoke without a fire".. the rumours had a fire.. we just didn't know about it just yet.
I'm sad to see burke go, considering how things ended last season. I wanted him to come back, to fix what he had done and stuff because Cristina had really come around and she didn't seem all that happy in her last scene of the season. I guess we're just gonna have to wait and see how this will benefit her character..
I will definitly miss Dr Burke. He was one of my favourites and as you said Irene, it won't be the same. Now things will really change with him gone and the evil ex-wife gone...
