So as many people out there, I love the episodes when Faith comes back in season 4 and wrecks havoc among the scoobies and then takes over Buffy's body. But I started thinking about this, we see Faith as Buffy at the airport getting her ticket out of Sunnydale, and then she sees the tv and the news about the vampires who's attacked a church. Now had she not seen this report she would have been on the next plane out of demon hell and off to party in Buffy's body.. or well, re-start her life is probably more like it.
But had she not come back and faught those vamps, do you think she would have ended up on the good side anyway? Would she over time had begun believing in 'it's wrong! you can't do that' that she keeps saying over and over as Buffy in Sunnydale? And would she have come back eventually because she's realised that what she had done was in fact, very wrong.
And what would have happened to Buffy if she stayed in Faith's body? Would she over time become what Faith was, the 'rouge slayer' or would she still have been Buffy, but with Faith's face?

I think Faith was always destined to bounce back. She wasn't a bad kid, she just got caught up in things she couldn't handle, and had never been taught to handle. She did some really idiotic things and I think, in time, she was always going to make it back to the side of good.
But Buffy as Faith...I don't think she would have ever gone really bad. But I do think she would have become a lot more jaded a lot quicker. We probably would have seen season seven Buffy arriving a lot earlier just because of the things she would have had to do just to keep herself alive and out of the hands of the council. She probably would have accepted that "I am the law" mentality a lot sooner. _________________

I think that she would become good too. I think that living Buffy's life would show her all the good stuff she was missing and while probably in begin she would try to destroy them, in the end with the help of Joyce, Giles and the slayerette, I think that Faith would change her mind even before the time that got her to do so in Ats.
Plus I pretty much sure that SPike wouldn't have waited so long to "have" her as he had to do with the real Buffy
