So I'm finally getting the chance to play this game all the way through. Haven't owned an xbox myself until my brother gave me one for my birthday, so never had the chance to play whenever I wanted to. Anyway, beside the point.

I've gotten to 'Return to the Sunken Church' which means I got two levels left and then I'm done. But after owning the game for about 2 years now, I'm starting to wonder what to expect for the big finale.

Has anyone finished this game, and what did you think of the finale? Was it hard? Basically, what happened?

[EDIT aug. 8, 2007: title changed as the topic has drifted into general buffy games discussion]

Yarg, I don't have an X-Box but I always wanted to play that game. I heard it was pretty good. I did beat Chaos Bleeds on the PS2, so if you get around to playin that one you can always ask for advice in that department.

I have it! And I love it! The finale was pretty fun! It can be a bitch at times! You basically have to defeat the Dreamers first, then you face the Master.. The Master is pretty tricky! Don't let him kick you off the platform! Then you're dead and have to start him over again.. Oh, and on the platform, pieces will start to fall so make sure you're not on them cause then you're also dead..

To be honest, I enjoyed fighting the Dreamers more than I did the Master..

So I finally beat the game. Just took me about 2 years

Amber: Well, as I don't have PS2 that will kinda make it harder to every try it on that platform

All in all I think it was a pretty good game. The woman doing the VO for buffy instead of SMG did it really well, she mimiced SMG very well in how to say things and all so after a while I didn't even notice that it was the 'wrong' voice

I have that game too!! But I just recently got my Xbox and haven't played it yet That's right... I bought the game before the system itself, even if I knew I wouldn't be able to use it, lol... I just wanted it so badly...

don't worry, I did actually do the same. I haven't lived at home for 5 years but when my parents got an xbox I bought both the buffy games and the alias one, hoping that I might play it when at home.. didn't happen very often.. until I got an xbox myself this x-mas And besides, if you're a diehard fan, you buy whatever you can get your hands on, even if you can't use it

I even have the GameBoy Advance game (which I can use, fortunately)... I'm only missing the GameBoy Color one... I bought the games after the show ended... I was basically looking for something that could recreate the show's atmosphere... and the games were the closest thing I could find... I wish SMG did the voice over ... *sob*...

I know what you mean, but I think the woman who did the voice for Buffy did a great job. She sounds alot like SMG and after playing a while it didn't bother me at all that it wasn't SMG. What got me irritated was the voice for Willow in "Chaos Bleeds". She makes Willow sound like a complete airhead and it bothered me the whole time I was playing. She didn't sound smart instead just like a complete idiot. *sigh*

The GA games, are they the same as the xbox and ps ones?

No, they are different. They are not 3D games, just 2D side-scrolling fighting games. Of course they are much simpler because of the Gameboy's limited capabilities. But I think they are still enjoyable. They one for the Game Boy Advance is very good, imo. And it has excellent graphics. The one for the Game Boy Color is badly outdated by now instead and is kind of mediocre graphically, imo. But I think they are both fun to play. Besides, anything about Buffy will do now, since we have no more new episodes...

Do you mean the first Buffy game? Where you unlock characters and the melee version is in like, the zoo or something? It's called Chaos Bleeds. If it's that one, I have that one! I SO suck at it! I'm very bad! I got to the level with Willow fighting Ethan to save Tara, I think. I keep dieing I can never really win, hehe.

Nope, there's actually a game BEFORE Chaos Bleeds. Can't remember when it came out but uhm.. yeah

Chaos Bleeds just got under my skin. I got so irritated with the battle between Spike and Adam (I think) in the initiative. I haven't gotten past that level yet and I've had the game for three years now

Oh, I had Gamecube but yesterday I sold it and all my games: one was Chaos Bleeds. It was okay, I guess. But, imo, they really need to make a Buffy melee game. I mean, Buffy is the PERFECT game for melee!

Yeah, it would have been great if they developed something like that, unfortunatly I don't see it in the future.

Wasn't there talk that they were on their way of developing a Buffy game but it was stopped in the middle? I think I remember reading something about something like that a few years back..

Yeah, I think Buffy's run it's course, really, in the electronic form. Comics are standing tall, but anything else, like a movie or TV show, I don't see, but, there is talk of 'Ripper' movie.

ANYWAYS, back on topic!

I never heard anything about that. Maybe they found new technology for Chaos Bleeds and were like, screw that
